When does the office close? Is there a late check in procedure?

Office closes at 10 PM every day of the year. Yes, Boyd's Security is available throughout the night to assist in late check ins.

Do you allow fires?

Yes, we allow responsible cooking fires on the coral rock substrate around your camp site. Fire rings are suggested.

Can I swim in the ocean? What water activities do you offer from the campground?

We do not have a designated swim area. However, we do offer boating, sailing, kayaking, and paddle boarding in the waters off of the campground.

How do I get to Key West?

The City bus loop system's closest stop is less than two blocks from the Boyd's entrance. Taxi and Uber are available from the front office, as well as bike, scooter, golf cart rentals.

Where is the best place to pick up extra camping supplies?

Boyd's Camping store is available from 8AM- 10 PM and includes:

The front office staff is able to help connect guests with some of the best trips Key West has to offer! Whether it's fishing, diving, sailing, or a helicopter tour around Key West, there is something for the whole family!

Do you allow pets?

Yes, we are pet friendly but do ask pet owners to respect our leash policy and clean up after their fur babies. Pets cannot be left unattended at tent sites and may not accompany owners in Pool or the bathhouse facilities. See Campground rules for list of restricted breeds.

Do you offer a boat ramp and boat slips onsite?

Yes, we have a boat ramp for guests to use and have boat slips at our marina facility. We can accommodate boats up to 30'.

Where's the best place to get bait and fuel?

Boyd's Camping store has frozen bait and ice.

Murrays Marina is the closest fuel facility near Boyd's and is less than a 1/2 mile away. Murray's also offers fishing tackle and bait.

How do I navigate the inshore waters around Key West?

Boyd's offers a local marine chart of the area and suggest all boaters examine waterways on charts and/or GPS's before boating in around the water of Key West.

Any good restaurants around Boyd's?

Yes, here on Stock Island we love to get our seafood lunches and dinners from Hogfish Bar and Grill! Chico's Cantina is also our favorite for Mexican and local cuisine!
