After paddling more than 100 miles through the Florida Keys, the Sebastian Strong Foundation @sebsstrong made their final stop right here at Boyd’s Campground — and we were honored to welcome them. 💛🛶
Their journey may have ended, but the mission continues.

Join the Journey to Cure Childhood Cancer!
We’re proud to support Kayaking the Keys for Hope 2025, a 110-mile paddle from Key Largo to Key West, raising funds for the SebastianStrong Foundation—a nonprofit committed to funding safer, more effective treatments for kids with cancer.
Founded in memory of 15-year-old Sebastian Ortiz, the SebastianStrong Foundation supports groundbreaking research to help children fighting cancer live longer, healthier lives.
From May 12–16, paddlers have been & will continue to travel the length of the Florida Keys, and we’re thrilled to announce that Boyd’s Campground will once again be the final stop on their inspiring journey! We can’t wait to welcome these incredible kayakers, precious superheroes living with cancer, and supporters back to the campground as they finish their trek and celebrate the hope they’re paddling for.

They are aiming, as a team, to raise $300,000. Each kayaker and road crew member has individual goals which help the group reach their final goal of $300,000. That amount will care for families individually, and fund a research grant to find less toxic and more targeted treatment options for children living with pediatric cancers.
With over $177,000 already raised, they’re well on their way to achieving their goal.
