32nd Annual Lower Keys Dolphin Tournament
June 6 - June 8
Date(s): June 6 – 8, 2025
Location: Sugarloaf Key, FL (Sugarloaf Marina, 17015 Overseas Hwy, Sugarloaf Key, FL 33042)
Description:
Reel in the fun at the 32nd Annual Lower Keys Dolphin Tournament, where anglers from across the islands gather for three days of competitive fishing, island-style festivities, and big-time prizes. With over $35,000 in cash and awards up for grabs, it’s not just about the catch—it’s about the thrill, the stories, and the saltwater camaraderie. Hosted by the Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce, this long-running event is a highlight of the Keys fishing calendar.
Even if you’re not casting a line, there’s plenty to enjoy onshore—like lively weigh-ins, food and drinks, raffle drawings, and live music. It’s a great way to get a taste of the local fishing culture and soak in the sunshine with your Boyd’s neighbors or new friends from up the coast. Dolphin (mahi-mahi, not Flipper!) is the star of the show, and the vibes are pure Keys.
Getting There from Boyd’s:
Sugarloaf Marina is about 17 miles northeast of Boyd’s, roughly a 25-minute drive up the Overseas Highway. Parking is available on-site, and it’s a scenic ride—so bring your camera and maybe your lucky fishing hat.
