Description:
Looking for a front-row seat to one of the most epic endurance events in the country? The Keys 100 Ultramarathon is a jaw-dropping, 100-mile footrace that spans the entire length of the Florida Keys. Runners—both solo warriors and spirited relay teams—make their way from Key Largo to the finish line right here in Key West. There’s also a 50-mile option starting in Marathon, but let’s be honest… these athletes are all superheroes in sneakers.
Even if you’re not lacing up for the race, the Keys 100 is a blast to witness. The energy builds as the runners arrive in Key West, cheered on by locals, visitors, and an occasional rooster. Expect a mix of grit, good vibes, and gratitude as the running community celebrates with post-race fun and oceanfront finish-line magic. It’s a great weekend to be in the Keys—and even better if you’re staying just minutes from the action.
Getting There from Boyd’s:
The race finishes at Higgs Beach, about 4.5 miles from the campground. It’s a quick 10-minute drive or 25-minute bike ride. Parking near the finish can be tight, so biking, walking, or grabbing a ride-share is the way to go.
