Boyd's Campground is honored to support our community through multiple philanthropic endeavors. Our efforts primarily benefit the Cancer Foundation of the Florida Keys, Sydney's Hope Project, and college scholarships for graduating local high school seniors. Annually, we host a raffle for a free 1-month stay at Boyd's Campground; all raffle proceeds go towards Sydney's Hope Project and the Cancer Foundation of the Florida Keys. At our Seasonal Party, we host both a silent and live auction that benefits Sydney's Hope Project. Our staff and family members often volunteer their time at events such as the Willy Wonka Chocolate Festival, solely benefitting the Cancer Foundation of the Florida Keys, and the Keys 100 Ultramarathon, primarily benefitting the Cancer Foundation of the Florida Keys.
For further information about our charities, please see the descriptions below.
The Cancer Foundation of the Florida Keys provides support to Keys' cancer patients and their families with financial assistance, educational materials and information, cancer screenings, emotional support, follow-up, and referral services when other financial sources of assistance have been denied or exhausted. Visit www.keyscancer.org for more information.
Sydney's Hope Project aims to enhance the lives of children with cancer through socially and emotionally uplifting games, activities, experiences, and events. By hosting events on the oncology ward of Nicklaus Children's Hospital and volunteering at Camp UOTS, an annual camp for past and present pediatric oncology patients, Sydney's Hope Project hopes to brighten pediatric cancer patients' days and distract them from their medical condition. Visit them on Facebook or their website www.nicklauschildrens.org for more information.
We annually provide multiple academic excellence scholarships to graduating Key West High School students to help relieve the financial burdens of attending a college, university, or professional school.
